More than 1.5 million Centerpoint Energy customers have had their electricity restored since Hurricane Ike knocked the power out for most of the upper Texas Coast last weekend.
In all, power has been restored to about 73 percent of CenterPoint customers. That leaves about 616,000 customers still in the dark.
The second largest provider is Entergy, which says it has restored power to about 92 percent of customers. Roughly 31,000 Entergy customers are waiting for their power to come back on.
Finally, Texas-New Mexico Power, which serves people in Galveston, Brazoria and Matagorda counties, says it has restored power to or 83 percent of its customers. More than 19,000 people remain without power.
On Friday, Centerpoint Energy released a revised projected timeline, indicating approximately 80 percent restoration per region:

As of this morning (9/24) not ALL of zip code 77043 has power restored. Half our block and more are still in the dark. The map indicated Monday (9/22) would be our day.
